Bob Kettler always had a vision for creating value in Real Estate. He began his career in the early 1970s by renovating apartments, retail stores, and building homes. Although his story began in renovations and home building, he later found passion in developing communities and began laying the foundation of KETTLER, a Real Estate Development Company.

Although his story began in renovations and home building, he later found passion in developing communities and began laying the foundation of KETTLER, a Real Estate Development Company.
While KETTLER was growing, so too, was Bob's footprint. He and his wife Charlotte are philanthropic contributors within the community. Currently, Bob serves on the board of the Trust for the National Mall, The Kennedy Center, and Wesley Seminary. He served on the boards for George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association, and the National Methodist Church. Additionally, Mr. Kettler served as a Trustee at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School in Washington, D.C., and The Potomac School in McLean, VA.
With over 40 years in operations, KETTLER maintains a reputation as a leading developer in the industry and is one of D.C.'s Largest Private Real Estate Companies. Bob is a known trailblazer, thought leader, and frequent speaker. He placed five consecutive years on the Washington Business Journal’s Power 100 list in the last decade and received notable honors like BIA's Monument Lifetime Achievement Award and the NAHB Developer of the Year award.
Bob continues to oversee KETTLER as Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He and his wife have four children and nine grandchildren and live in the Metro Washington, D.C. Area.
Cynthia Fisher leads KETTLER as an accomplished industry leader with 35+ years of experience driving strategic and operational growth. As President of KETTLER, she is responsible for running all facets of the business and its operations. Ms. Fisher has a proven executive strategist and operational track record and over 25 years of multifamily real estate experience in property management operations, multifamily finance, and multifamily development sectors of the industry.
Prior to joining KETTLER, Ms. Fisher served as the Operations Director for Freddie Mac, where she was instrumental in leading the strategic transformation of operations and technology for over 15 years. She also held senior leadership positions at The Washington Post, United Way of America, Gates Hudson and Associates, and most recently was the Vice President of Financial Operations at The Pew Charitable Trusts.
Ms. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA.
Alyson Bode is a Vice President of Research and Data Strategy at Kettler. Ms. Bode joined Kettler in 2017 and advises leaders in development, acquisitions, asset management and operations across Kettler’s vertically integrated platform by providing actionable market intelligence and reporting. Alyson also leads Kettler’s data strategy for supporting investment and executive decision making and analysis of the Kettler markets, customers and portfolio.
Prior to joining Kettler, Ms. Bode has served as the Director of Market Research at AvalonBay Communities and Vice President at Delta Associates.
Ms. Bode received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The George Washington University with a focus in Real Estate Finance. She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
Sean Curtin joined KETTLER in 2006 and is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the company. Mr. Curtin oversees all aspects of the company’s legal work, including working with outside counsel on transactional and litigation matters. He also serves on the company’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Curtin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA., as well as a J.D. from the UVA School of Law. He is also a member of the California State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Virginia State Bar. Mr. Curtin brings over 30 years of specialized legal experience to the organization and has represented some of the Washington area’s most prominent developers and lending institutions.
Pat Cassada is responsible for all Finance and Accounting operations for all four KETTLER business divisions. Pat has been with KETTLER since 2001, and is fluent in operations of budgeting, financial reporting, corporate finance, tax, audits, treasury/cash management, insurance, internal controls, risk management and financial analysis. A graduate of James Madison University, Pat has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and is a certified public accountant.
Luke Davis joined KETTLER in 2010 and serves as Chief Investment Officer for the company. Mr. Davis is responsible for overseeing investment strategy, acquisitions, asset management, Investor relations and capital formation. He brings nearly 20 years of investment and development experience with a focus on multifamily and is a core member of the Investment Committee. Since joining Kettler, Mr. Davis has been involved in over 50 projects with a total capitalization in excess of $4 billion.
Mr. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Prior to joining KETTLER, he worked at NOVO Development Corporation and at The Hogan Companies. Mr. Davis is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, as well as the National Multifamily Housing Council.
Pamela Tyrrell joined KETTLER in 1997 and is Executive Vice President of the Multifamily Development and Construction division of the company. Ms. Tyrrell has over 20 years of experience and is responsible for all aspects of Kettler’s multifamily and mixed-use development projects from feasibility, predevelopment, construction through initial delivery and lease-up. She currently oversees the development of 3,000 units totaling over $1.0 billion in development costs.
Ms. Tyrrell earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA., and a Master’s in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining KETTLER, Ms. Tyrrell worked at Arthur Andersen and Freddie Mac. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Construction Committee for the National Multifamily Housing Council.
Greg Slang joined KETTLER in 2006 and is Executive Vice President of Asset Management for the company. He is primarily responsible for providing strategic oversight and reporting for the multifamily portfolio with a focus on optimizing project returns and mitigating risks for the organization. Additionally, Mr. Slang oversees fund fair valuations, project renovations, and dispositions. He has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience that includes an extensive background in multifamily valuation, acquisitions, and operations.
Mr. Slang earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Before joining KETTLER, Mr. Slang worked at Mills Corporation where he asset managed several large-scale retail development projects and previously provided commercial real estate underwriting services for CB Richard Ellis.
J.D. Sitton leads KETTLER’s discretionary fund-raising efforts. As Executive Vice President of Capital Markets & Strategy, he is responsible for maintaining and growing firm relationships with investors and their consultants. He collaborates with senior leadership in setting strategy for our funds and serves as a member of our investment committee.
Mr. Sitton brings more than 30 years of experience working with institutional real estate investors in the U.S. and abroad to his role. He is an accomplished client professional having raised capital for, built and led capital markets teams at JPMorgan Asset Management where he spent 15 years, as well as Barings and more recently Hines. Mr. Sitton holds a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University. He is a CFA charter holder, a member of PREA and has held the series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
Daryl Smith serves as Chief Marketing Officer for KETTLER. With over 20 years of multifamily marketing experience, Daryl brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic leadership to KETTLER’s marketing department. He specializes in next generation digital media, marketing operations as well as brand strategy.
Prior to joining KETTLER, Daryl served as the National Director of Marketing for Pinnacle, where he was responsible for marketing operations for over 175,000 units in markets nationwide. He also spent several years at Trammel Crow, Riverstone Residential, Greystar and Bonaventure, overseeing strategic marketing operations for both corporate and property marketing.
Daryl is known for his innovative next-generation marketing strategies. He received a masters’ degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin before moving to Washington, D.C., where he now lives. Prior to entering the multifamily market, Daryl worked in Public Television for 10 years in broadcast operations and station relations for Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in Alexandria, Va., WETA-TV, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin Public Television, Madison, Wis.
